About Us

Here, Great Dentistry is About More Than Teeth

Comprehensive dental care that starts with the whole picture and a realistic plan with the long term in mind.

Ever found yourself chewing on one side of your mouth

Avoiding certain foods because of a troublesome tooth

Or becoming so used to a chipped or worn tooth that you barely think about it anymore

It’s Surprising What We Learn to Live With

It’s easy to adapt. Small changes gradually become normal, and sometimes you don’t realise how much you’ve been working around a dental problem until someone takes a closer look.

Rather than assess your mouth tooth by tooth, we consider airway, aesthetics, structure, function and biology to build a more complete picture of your oral health. It helps us understand what’s happening now, what may be contributing to it and the appropriate options available to you.

Sometimes that means straightforward preventative care. Other times, it may mean taking a closer look at a problem that’s been repaired before or considering an approach you hadn’t previously thought possible.

What Good Dentistry Means to Us

Healthy

Healthy teeth and gums provide the foundation for everything else.

Natural

When restorative or cosmetic treatment is needed, it’s carefully planned in the context of your individual teeth, face and smile.

Functional

Your teeth, bite, muscles and jaw joints should work comfortably together.

Long-Term Thinking

Treatment planning considers not only what you need today, but how your oral health can be supported over time.

Different Strengths.

One Shared Approach.

Our dentists each have their own areas of clinical interest. But they all believe good dentistry starts the same way. Don’t just look at one tooth. Look at how everything works together, then plan your care with the bigger picture in mind. Meet the dentists behind your care.

Principal Dentist
Dr Nicholas Cheah

Bachelor of Dental Surgery (Hons), University of Sydney
General Registration: DEN0001025516

More than three decades in dentistry haven’t stopped Dr Nick Cheah asking questions. In fact, ongoing education has continued to shape the way he practises, from his interest in airway and how it relates to oral health to advanced training in implant dentistry. He’s always looking to understand more, consider what’s possible and keep pace with where modern dentistry is heading.

Dentist
Dr Shin Yi Lim

Bachelor of Dental Surgery (Hons), University of Otago, New Zealand
General Registration: DEN0002549328

One of the things Dr Shin enjoys most about general dentistry is being able to care for such a wide range of patients and dental needs. Her interests span dental implants and wisdom teeth surgery through to orthodontics, including braces, clear aligners and identifying developing orthodontic concerns in children. Calm and gentle by nature, she enjoys getting to know her patients and supporting their oral health as their needs change over time.

Dentist
Dr Ragini Tosh

Bachelor of Dental Surgery (Hons),
General Registration: DEN0001849264

For Dr Ragini, good dentistry is about getting to know her patients and understanding what matters to them over time. She enjoys all aspects of general dentistry and takes a calm, considered approach to care, looking beyond the immediate problem to help patients understand what may need attention now and what to keep an eye on for the future.

What You Can Expect

Your teeth, gums, bite, jaw and airway can all play a role in your oral health. We consider how they work together rather than jumping straight to treatment.

We’ll show you what we see and explain the appropriate options in everyday language. No jargon here.

When treatment is needed, we’ll prioritise what matters and plan around your individual needs.

We’ll continue to monitor your oral health after treatment is complete.

What You Won't Get

Sometimes keeping a close eye on things is an appropriate option.

Your treatment recommendations are based on your individual oral health and circumstances.

We’ll consider what may have contributed to the problem and whether anything else needs attention.

We’ll talk you through the options and answer your questions. If you need time to think about it, take all the time you need.
